If  the national guard was here, the fire might not have been out of control. Much of our large equipment has been deployed  to Iraq.

The national guard and the coast guard is being abused and misused , by sending them to Iraq on three term tours, we have been depriving this country of the needed defense of our coastlines and help in combating national disasters.

I fear the organization has been undermined Who will volunteer when the original purpose of national defense has changed from home security to international defense . The good soldiers have lost their homes, not seen their families and have lost jobs because of callousness and mismanagement........
In one swoop, the National Guard has been undermined thanks to Mr. Bush's short sightedness and mismanagement.
